Maeve has drafted patent applications across a range of chemical technologies including petrochemicals, chemical manufacturing processes, electrochemistry and catalysis. Maeve has prosecuted applications before the European Patent Office in addition to many other jurisdictions such as China, Russia and Japan. She has been involved with European oppositions and appeals, and has assisted with contentious proceedings in other jurisdictions. Maeve has experience of freedom to operate assessments covering chemical products and processes.
Maeve has been responsible for the creation and management of global patent portfolios, including the formulation and implementation of commercially-relevant patent strategies. This has included interaction with inventors during invention harvesting sessions. Maeve has carried out patent valuation assessments and has experience of developing patent portfolios for licensing.
Maeve joined J A Kemp in 2016, after working in-house since 2000 in both the oil and gas and chemical industries.
