Jade obtained a BSc and a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol where she subsequently worked as a post-doctoral researcher investigating defective cell division.
Following this Jade became a Career Development Fellow at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge researching endocytosis and the blood-brain barrier, with particular emphasis on elucidating the processes involved in the delivery of antibodies from the blood into the brain.
Jade has published in several journals, which include first-author papers and review articles written throughout her time as an undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-doctoral researcher. She also has experience studying mechanisms of cell signalling, meiosis, oocyte development, and structural biology.
Jade joined J A Kemp as a Trainee Patent Attorney in 2016. She is a fluent speaker of Cantonese.
